About Me

about self improvement mentor

Hi, my name is Ethan Beh and I am a self improvement enthusiast. I am a business consultant, writer, website owner, musician, book loving, knowledge hungry, positive thinking, persistent, compassionate, vege loving, Formula 1 fan, son, brother, boyfriend and never-ending dreamer.

My personal development journey began in the late nineties when I was still in my teens. Things weren't going so well for me at that time. I wasn't having a quality relationship with myself and with the people around me. And despite seemingly living a life similar to everyone else, I found myself searching for meaning and purpose.

I started asking for more from life. I wanted more from life, but not in money, personal belongings, toys etc. I wanted more meaning in my life. I wanted to do more and contribute more. This desire for purpose gradually manifested and I became naturally passionate about improving myself and others around me.

With help from my dad (also an enthusiast) I spent the following years gobbling up everything I can on the subject. Gems from Anthony Robbins, Stephen Covey, Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, meditation, subliminal messages, NLP, hypnosis, super-learning, lucid dreaming and many others. While most other kids spend most of their time watching TV, playing video games & sports, my hobby was reading. I was like a sponge, I had an open mind and everything was going in.

about self improvement mentor

Naturally I was so excited about the knowledge that I learned and wanted to share it with everyone else. I thought everyone would be just like me. How wrong I was. Many weren’t interested, and even more didn’t believe in it. They just felt that it wasn’t possible to learn skills and strategies to change our lives.

I was initially frustrated by this. But later on I realized that everyone has their own path and learn in their own way. Some grow through practical experience, others through knowledge and so on.

Self-Improvement-Mentor.com is my way of connecting and sharing with like minded individuals and just about anyone who is interested in personal growth and improvement. It is my collection of knowledge and experiences that I have gained throughout these years that I feel you will find useful too.

It has been almost 10 years since I began this journey and although sometimes it feels like I have seen a lot, I know there is still a lot more which I have not learned yet. The self improvement journey never ends, but it feels great to know that in a way, through this website I am not walking down this path alone.

Cheers!!!

How did I build this website?

Isn’t it great if you can make an income out of your passion? Fortunately we have that opportunity now because the Internet is a medium that allows us to do just that.

If you want to build a website to share your passion with others, how do you ensure that there are visitors to your site? And how do you make sure that it can earn you an adequate side (or main) income to make it worth your time building it? That’s the question I asked myself when I started thinking about building Self-Improvement-Mentor.com.

Fortunately I have a ‘mentor’ that helps me out. Site Build It is just like a mentor to me. SBI guides me step by step, and provides me with the knowledge and tools to build a successful website.

If you are interested in SBI and building websites, check out my journey with SBI to find out more.
