Which self improvement teaching is the best? You're out there looking, searching, hunting for the best self improvement teaching....... You think to yourself "Maybe I might find it in the next book/seminar/class/CD" Finding it is the goal of many in the self improvement movement, it is none other than the mother-of-all-solutions, one-size-fits-all, quick-success-little-effort personal development technique!!!
To be honest, I used to be exactly like that. For many years I have engulfed myself in tons of books, audios, videos, seminars, and courses on a smörgåsbord of self improvement themes searching (subconsciously?) for this ultimate teaching too. I didn't find it, just like many others who were doing the same. Simple reason, no such thing exists!! But I did discover a bunch of really useful and effective teachings. This site is about all the tips, strategies, practices and teachings that I believe that can improve your personal development and bring more success to your life. Among areas covered are ; • Goal setting tips • Positive Affirmations • Handling and using emotions • Meditation methods • NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) Motivation • Emotion and motivation • Self empowerment
F + A = Success ??
Have you ever felt discouraged at the lack of progress you are making in self improvement? Feel that the results you’re getting don’t reflect the amount of effort you’re putting in? I know exactly how you feel. It can be really frustrating. I felt like giving up many times before. However, putting aside all fancy stuff, essentially 2 things are needed for successful personal development : focus & approach. Those who seem to not succeed lack either one of the two (some have neither!) Focus means to follow through on your self improvement actions consistently without getting distracted along the way. I was guilty of lack of focus. I used to constantly search and load new information into my brain before I even had the chance to properly apply what I have learned. I never practiced something long enough to see the results. Sounds easy but it took me years to develop the discipline to focus on something long enough. Approach means the strategies and teachings for personal development. Nowadays, everywhere you turn there seems to be a new self improvement book or program. Which to follow? Some are gold, some are junk, and many are basically preaching the same principles. I have experienced all 3 types, and you probably have too. Rest assured, there are no ‘junk’ here. So, to achieve success, take care of these 2 areas first!! With the right approach and a 100% commitment, anything can be achieved. If you keep moving towards your goal everyday, you will eventually reach it.
I hope to help you along your way by sharing what I have learned through the years. God knows how much frustration, anger and disappointments I’ve gone through in the past. In those days, I always wished that I had a mentor to guide me. Fortunately, I’ve had great help from some wonderful individuals along the way. For all that I have received; I feel that it is only right that I help others with what I now know. I hope you find the information here useful. It is important that you find and develop your own approach. Your own style. This is a collection of my style. If you find that it fits you, then great. If it doesn’t, don’t force yourself to go with it. Though our destinations may be the same, our paths to get there will definitely differ. Happy reading (& applying) and I wish you all the best on your self improvement journey.
