Having self love and acceptance is a very important facet of being a well balanced human being, which is why doing self love affirmations is a great idea for everyone. Hello Sherry, First of all, it is good that you understand the importance of self love. Being aware of it and wanting to do something to put it right is a great sign. You have already taken the first step towards getting to where you want to be. For that you should be proud of yourself. Self love and a person’s sense of self worth are tied closely together. Self love begins with knowing your value as a human being. Know that each and every one of us are divine beings, sacred and a true master in our own right. After all, we are all children of the divine. Your description that you are always worried about others around you may be a sign that you feel others are more important than you or have a higher ‘value’ compared to you. And because of that they deserve more of your attention, concern and care. This feeling that others are more ‘worthy’ to deserve this treatment are usually sub-conscious a person and developed over time from various events and experiences in life. A common variation to this is wanting or needing the approval of others. One may hope to gain the approval of others though showing care, concern, attention and putting the needs and happiness of the other person above his or her own. This is in hope that the other person may accept him or her more because of these actions. Doing affirmations that address the aspect of self value may be a good place to start. Consistency and conditioning of the affirmation is what makes the difference. You will not see results or changes immediately, but rest assured that if you wholeheartedly do the self love affirmations and believe in it, over time you will find yourself changing and becoming the person you want to be. The changes happen little by little, in a very subtle way till one day you realize that you are 'there'. Sometimes we all go through certain phases in life which may be challenging. Though at the moment it may be painful, but ultimately it is a good opportunity for growth. The experience and the journey is just as important as reaching the destination.
